Nicoletta Braschi

Nicoletta Braschi was born in Cesena in 1960. She has been involved in acting since her adolescence and moved on her 20s to Rome, where she attended the National Academy of Dramatic Arts.

In 1980 she made her debut in the theater in ”Tutti al macello” of Salvatore Cardone, while in 1983 she was part of the cast of ”Tu mi turbi” with Roberto Benigni. Roberto married her in 1991 and Nicoletta have worked together in six other films, such as The little devil, Johnny Stecchino, The monster, Pinocchio and The tiger and the snow, and obviously the multi-award winnng, Life is beautiful (La vita é bella).

Not just Benigni, however. Her filmography includes titles such as Secrets Secrets, directed by Giuseppe Bertolucci, or How are good whites, by Ferreri. The presence of Nicoletta Braschi in Il té nel deserto, by Bernardo Bertolucci, is also significant. In addition, the actress turned Pasolini, an Italian crime and Sostiene Pereira, other cult films of the 90s.
